Double promotion at Vaude

Germany-based outdoor brand Vaude has appointed Manfred Meindl to the newly created role of head of trade marketing.

Mr Meindl has looked after online marketing for five years, helping to grow the social media strategy that has contributed to Vaude’s brand positioning, says the company.

Aaron Bittne, formerly the senior product manager for the mountain and bike divisions, has also been promoted to a new role, apparel manager.  

In his new position, Mr Bittner will lead a 17-person team that includes the product management and technology divisions.  

Vaude CEO Antje von Dewitz said: “We are very pleased that we were able to win two managers from our own ranks, who are not only characterised by strategic thinking and a high level of expertise but who live out our values as well. This shows us that the commitment which we foster and continue to develop in our employees is worthwhile.”
