Positive year for Italian textile machinery manufacturers

Italian textile machinery manufacturers experienced a 6% year on year rise in orders during the third quarter of 2017, according to data from Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers (ACIMIT).

Domestic orders increased 8%, while orders from overseas were 6% higher. 

“Orders have continued their growth trend, making us confident that we will close out the year on a positive note,” said Alessandro Zucchi, ACIMIT president. “The extended measures for Industry 4.0 will serve to keep this thrust going towards the digitalisation of the entire Italian textile sector."
