Renewcell 1 ships its first batch of Circulose
Textile-to-textile recycler Renewcell shipped its first order of Circulose dissolving pulp to have been produced at its Renewcell 1 facility in Sundsvall, Sweden, on December 29. The plant has now been fully operational for several months. 

The company said the development would take it one step further towards its goal of reaching an initial annual output of 60,000 tonnes. As part of a deal announced early last month, it plans to sell 80,000-100,000 tonnes of Circulose to Austrian fibre manufacturer Lenzing alone over five years. 

The latter’s former director of global business development for denim and the Americas, Tricia Carey, joined Renewcell as chief commercial officer this past November.
